Privacy Policy

What we collect

• What you tell the estimator: the service you want, your answers about the room, and whether it's for a home or a business.
• Contact details: your name, email, phone, company name if you give one, and the addresses where the work happens.
• Your account: your email and a password we never see — it is stored scrambled by our login provider.
• Your job: estimates, invoices, payments recorded against them, scheduled dates, and the messages you send us.
• Nothing else. There is no analytics, no advertising network, and no tracking pixel on this website.

Cookies

We use cookies for two things only: keeping you signed in, and remembering your language. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing here to opt out of.

How we use it

To quote your job, do your job, bill you for it, and talk to you about it. We also use it to keep the business records we are required to keep. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of companies to run this service. They only handle your information to do a job for us, and they are not allowed to use it for their own purposes:

• Supabase — stores the database, your login, and files such as photos and PDFs.
• Vercel — runs the website itself.
• Resend — sends our emails to you.
• Google Maps — when you type an address, what you type is sent to Google to suggest the rest of it. Your device's location is never sent, and the suggestions are not stored by us beyond the address you pick.
• Anthropic — translates your messages and your estimates between English and Spanish so we can read each other. The text of a message is sent to be translated; it is not used to train their models.

Beyond those, we share your information only when the law requires it, or when it is needed to collect a genuine debt.

All of these companies are in the United States, and that is where your information is stored.

Voice notes

Our own staff can dictate an estimate instead of typing it. That recording is made by us, not by you, and it is transcribed on our own equipment; if that equipment is unavailable, the audio is sent to OpenAI to transcribe instead. We mention it here because such a note may mention your name or address.

How long we keep it

Estimates, invoices, and payment records are business records and we keep them for as long as the law requires. Everything else we keep for as long as it is useful to serve you. If you close your account, your login is deleted immediately; the record of work we did for you remains, because we are required to keep it.

What you can do

• See and correct your own information at any time in My Account.
• Close your account yourself, from that same page.
• Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Write to the address below and we will answer.
• Turn off notifications in My Account, or reply to any email and tell us to stop.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on a property. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, your password is stored scrambled, and the database enforces — row by row — that you can only read your own records. No system is perfect, but that is the standard we hold ourselves to.

Changes

If we change this policy, the date at the top changes with it.
